WhoseRound? is designed to be simple, local-first and respectful of your privacy. This policy explains what information the app uses and why.

This Privacy Policy applies to the WhoseRound? iPhone, iPad and Apple Watch app, provided by Daniel Murdock trading as Link Imaginations.
WhoseRound? does not require you to create a separate account, does not contain advertising, and does not sell your personal information.
WhoseRound? uses information that you choose to enter or create while using the app, which may include:
This information is used to provide the app's core features, such as keeping track of whose round it is, remembering drinks, restoring nights, showing History and making relevant on-device suggestions.
WhoseRound? is designed to work locally on your device and to remain useful when connectivity is poor.
Where supported, the app may also use Apple's iCloud and CloudKit services to sync app data across your devices or support shared app experiences. Data stored through iCloud is handled by Apple in accordance with Apple's own privacy and security practices.
WhoseRound? does not operate its own advertising database and does not sell your app data to third parties.
Smart Venues is optional. If you enable it, WhoseRound? may request location access while you are using the app so that it can recognise places you regularly use and improve suggestions for groups, drinks and venues.
Venue learning is designed to use reduced-precision information and on-device processing where practical. WhoseRound? does not use your location for advertising and does not sell location data.
You can deny location permission, disable Smart Venues, or clear learned venue information without preventing normal round tracking.
WhoseRound? can learn from your previous use to make future nights quicker to set up, such as suggesting regular groups, drinks or venues. This personalisation is designed to operate on-device and is not used to build an advertising profile.
WhoseRound? uses Apple's StoreKit and App Store services to offer and manage WhoseRound Annual subscriptions for eligible customers.
Apple processes your payment information. WhoseRound? does not receive your card or bank details. The app receives information needed to determine whether you have a valid entitlement, trial, subscription or grandfathered paid-app access.
WhoseRound? may use Apple services and platform features including CloudKit, StoreKit, push notifications, widgets, Live Activities, Dynamic Island, Siri/App Intents and Apple Watch connectivity.
Use of these services may involve information being processed by Apple as required to provide those features. Apple's handling of that information is governed by Apple's privacy policies.
WhoseRound? does not sell your personal information and does not use third-party advertising networks.
Information may be processed by Apple where necessary to provide App Store purchases, iCloud/CloudKit, notifications or other Apple platform services used by the app.
You can control permissions such as location and notifications in iOS Settings. Smart Venues can be disabled or cleared from within WhoseRound? without affecting normal app use.
You can also remove app data by using relevant in-app controls, removing synced data where available, or uninstalling the app. Some information stored in iCloud may remain available to your Apple account until removed or otherwise deleted in accordance with Apple's services.
WhoseRound? is intended for an adult social context and is not directed at children. The app does not knowingly solicit personal information from children.

Reasonable technical measures are used to protect app data, including local device protections and Apple's platform security for services such as iCloud and StoreKit.
No method of electronic storage or transmission can be guaranteed to be completely secure, so absolute security cannot be promised.
WhoseRound? retains app information for as long as it is needed to provide features such as History, saved mates, drinks and learned preferences, or until you remove that information through available app or Apple account controls.
This Privacy Policy may be updated when WhoseRound? changes or when legal or platform requirements change. The effective date at the top of this page will be updated when material changes are made.
